Take a Tour of My Vintage Kitchen

Since today is Vintage Thingie Thursday, I thought it would be nice to give you all a tour of my vintage kitchen!

While I love vintage, the novelty of my vintage stove and wall oven has worn off.  These appliances came with the house when we purchased it 3 years ago.  I suspect that they came with the house when it was built 40+ years ago.  We had hoped to replace them before now, but it's just not in the budget now or anytime soon!

So when I heard about the Sears KitchenAid Rescue My Appliances contest I just knew that I'd had enter for a chance to win some new appliances.

I could really use your help.  I thought I was doing good with votes, but then I saw someone else's entry that is way ahead of me!  Would YOU please vote for my kitchen

The voting portion of the contest runs until November 17th, you can vote once a day and each time you vote enters you in a chance to win a KitchenAid Mixer!

Last time I voted, my entry was on page 19, second row, first one.  You'll see collage photo of my appliances like the first picture up above.  Alison in Souderton, PA

Thanks for your votes!!!

You can find this linked to Food On Fridays and Homemaker Mondays.

Hi Allison, saw you over at VTT, I read your post and stopped over to vote for you. I had very similar appliances in my home, only they didn't look as nice as yours ;) I got my stove top for a reasonable price then got a super nice oven at a thrift store for only 65 dollars, and it looks new and works fantastically. Hope you win, tami

I'll go vote for you. I love that wall stove though. Not the same color as the fridge, but sort of cutely 1970's.

I'll go check it out--but I do love those aqua countertops!

What a shock your post was to me today. I thought how did they get pictures of my kitchen. My house was built in 1964 and all the appliances are the original. Look just like most of yours.

Thanks for all the votes and wonderful comments! I really laughed out loud at LV's comment about being shocked to see her kitchen posted!

I'm tidying up the house during Grace's naptime today...but I will get to everyone's blog very soon!

Keep voting! Tell your friends!

You can vote once a day!!!

It sure is nice to have new appliances--we bought new stuff several years ago after living with an uncool old stove that was really just falling apart. I do hope you get to enjoy something new--but your tour is sweet and you look like you're making the most of things! Glad you linked to Food on Fridays--perhaps one day soon we'll have you posting about all the amazing things you're whipping up in your new kitchen?
